Leveraging the unique characteristics of AutoTester ONE,
the newly enhanced AutoController is the only load and
stress testing tool that can perform true end-to-end
load and stress testing over the entire landscape. This
means companies can perform load and stress testing
against web, host/legacy, ERP, client server and Windows
desktop applications - all with the same test scripts
using the same test tool. And best of all, the same
scripts can also be used for functional, regression and
integration testing!
Perform Load, Stress, and Performance Testing
AutoController helps you test application behaviour
under load conditions by initiating and controlling test
execution on multiple network machines. Through a
central console, you can initiate hundreds of tests
across your system for performing high-volume testing,
all without having to coordinate additional testing
personnel.
The flexible design of AutoController allows you to
create multiple test groups, each with a unique
configuration, including which tests to execute, their
execution sequence, and the workstations where they
should run.
You can even specify exact machine requirements for your
tests to pinpoint performance with different hardware
and software combinations. By specifying your execution
requirements up front, you control the load conditions
placed on your application and network. This allows you
to easily determine system capacity and accurately
measure the impact of differing system conditions.

Schedule, Monitor and Control Test Playback
With AutoController, you have complete control of your
GUI and client/server test execution. From the central
console, you can schedule the same or different tests to
execute in parallel, or synchronize tests to execute in
sequence across the network. Specific events can even be
processed on multiple machines at exactly the same time
to measure the effect of high-volume, simultaneous
activities.
You can schedule your tests for immediate playback, set
a countdown timer, or schedule them to run at a specific
time in the future.
Tests can be scheduled for flexible unattended playback
during evening or weekend hours, or they can be executed
for attended observation.
Once your tests are running, a visual status of test
execution is displayed at the console allowing you to
monitor test status of any machine, at any point. During
execution, tests may be stopped and continued, or
aborted, all from the console giving you complete
control of your testing process.
Analyze Performance and Execution Results
After test execution, test results are available for the
entire test run as well as for each test executed on
individual machines. Elapsed times of single events,
individual tests, and groups of tests are all tracked
for quickly measuring system performance.
As you fine tune your applications for optimum
performance, AutoController executes the exact same
tests again so you can verify and measure system
improvement. Test run history reports are also available
for tracking system performance over a period of time.
